Paul Jaray (Hungarian: Pál Járay) born March 11th, 1889 in Vienna - died September 22nd, 1974 in St. Gallen, was a pioneer of automotive design.
He worked for various firms, including the aircraft industry.He was pioneering in the field of streamlining car designs on the basis of wind tunnel experiments.
Since 1923 he designed cars for Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Apollo, Dixi, Audi, Adler, Jawa, Ford, Steyr and others.
In 1927 Jaray founded the Stromlinien Karosserie Gesellschaft, and issued license of designs to brands like Tatra.
