Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Puts an End to FIFA 16
Do you know that something has finally put an end to FIFA 16’s rule over the UK gaming charts and that something is, it's Assassin’s Creed Syndicate! However, it’s not all good news as despite scoring number one, it’s actually the worst selling Assassin’s Creed title to date.
According to Chart-Track, which takes count of physical sales only, has said that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s launch sales has fallen short of surpassing any of the major entries in the game’s long-running series such as fut 16 coins.
The only game Assassin’s Creed Syndicate managed to surpass was Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, a game which launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 the same time Assassin’s Creed Unity launched for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, so the comparison here isn’t really relevant.
Aside from people being unsure about the new game thanks to the rocky launch of Unity, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate also launched on a Friday, giving just two days worth of sales. Unity launched on a Tuesday meaning it had six days. Overall, it shows that there’s a year-on-year decline of the series overall, which is a little worrying.
Elsewhere in the charts, Guitar Hero Live launched at number 3 with sales up by almost 25 per cent on Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock. The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes launched at number 11 falling short of the top ten spot, and Just Dance 2016 debuts at number 19.
Here’s the full rundown:
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
FIFA 16
Guitar Hero Live
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
Grand Theft Auto 5
Lego Dimensions
Destiny The Taken King
Forza 6
Lego Jurassic World
