BRZ Makes Super GT Racing Debut
The Subaru BRZ is making its racing debut in the Japanese Super GT series in the GT300 class. The class equalizes all cars to the equivalent of 300hp regardless of power or weight. Any engine modifications are allowed, but the cars will be equalized by officials.
The first Super GT race was last weekend at the Okayama Circuit, formerly called the TI Circuit Aida that hosted the 1994 and 1995 Formula 1 Pacific Grand Prixs.
The Super GT BRZ sounds like it is running a turbo, but not much more than that is known at the moment.
