Coulthard Catches World's Longest Golf Shot into a Moving Car
David Coulthard is a driver not a golfer, but he has helped Mercedes turn the SLS AMG Roadster into the world's fastest golf hole. Coulthard and golfer Jake Shepard set the record for the world's longest golf shot into a moving car.
Shepard hit the ball 275 meters into Coulthard's Mercedes that was traveling at 120mph. Mercedes clocked the ball off the club head at 178mph.
“The only way to track the ball was to keep your eyes on it all the time: it’s a real adrenaline rush but it’s not the most comfortable thing to do because for a moment, you’re not watching the road," said Coulthard.
The Guinness Book of World Records was on hand to verify the shot.
