FIFA 16 Request: More Men's National Teams
I know that there is big business in saving many national teams for the World Cup video games every 4 years, but since they're adding 16 Women's national teams, I thought it wouldn't be too much to ask to possibly get a few more men's national teams.
It seems to be that if you're not from Europe or South America, odds are that you won't have your team in FIFA. Heck, there are more than a few teams who made it to the World Cup who aren't in FIFA 15.
I hope FIFA 16 adds to the general realism of the game of football by adding more to every game mode including career, the offline play, head-to-head, and FUT. I hope 16 won't just be 15, but with women teams. I hope that we'll finally see more depth all around, more scanned faces, and more realism.
It's great fun and can be competitive. There are a good amount of teams in the game, I won't question that, there are just some strange choices of who is in and who is out. I don't want to say to cut out a team like Bulgaria, as I'm sure there are some out there that enjoy playing as them, but I do hope that more teams will be added next time!
I was a big fan of his in the 98 world cup. Him and Ruud Van Nistelrooy are my 2 favorite non-Iranian players!! He was a legend, but that's a real shame that he asked for too much money. EA should cough it up though, they're making enough from FUT!!
For some reason, they pay for the teams' licenses in the World Cup, but not for yearly FIFA iterations. I'm sure that they have enough money to get Croatia. I highly doubt Croatia is asking for more than England or Germany. They make sure to get certain teams, but when it comes to lower teams, they just go with anyone who takes their first offers it seems like Egypt and Bulgaria. They should negotiate to get good teams. They can do it, they have done it, but they aren't willing to pay it seems. Profit margins, etc., etc.
But when you take into account the lack of certain legends, I fully believe that two possible things are happening. 1.) some teams/legends probably do ask for extortionate prices, and for some of those, the more obscure ones, when compared with 2.) the proportion of people who would buy the game with the addition of those certain legends/teams, it just makes no financial sense. India is a huge emerging market, having them in there makes perfect sense. Say Croatia simply wants as little as double what Bulgaria and Egypt want, are there really that many people in Croatia who do not already own the game.
That would be more inclined to do so if it had their national team? It is not about the team being good per se, it is a combination of whether having the team is important enough to sell the game to people in that country who wouldn't already buy Fifa 16 coins. My theory for adding women is that EA realized they may lose a small percentage of regular buyers due to the massive changes this year, perhaps by adding the women's teams they can tap into the female football playing population that wouldn't normally buy it. My girlfriend plays for our college's soccer team, and all but one of her teammates has never played the game, but they are very excited with the addition of women to the game, and I am pretty sure at least a few of them will be buying 16 solely to use the women's squads.
