HydrogenHydrogen

Hydrogen can be used to fuel several types of vehicles besides automobiles, such as airplanes. The hydrogen-fuelled car’s mechanical power is achieved by one of two possible converting ways: electrochemical conversion of the hydrogen in a fuel-cell or by internal combustion. Despite being an alternative energy that produces no carbon dioxide, hydrogen actually generates higher emissions than gasoline fuel in terms of greenhouse gases.

Hydrogen is not actually an energy source but an energy transporter, given that it is not naturally produced without a human hand. This type of energy can be achieved through the exploitation of several sources, being the fossil fuels, such as methane, the most commonly used ones. Hydrogen promises a good number of benefits, namely low costs, which a lot of companies are eager to promote and profit from. Thus they have been extensively involved in the development of the hydrogen energy’s potential.
