GRMN Looks Back at 5 Years of Nürburgring Competition
GRMN, which is much better than its full name Gazoo Racing Meister Nürburgring, has produced a video looking back at its last five years of racing the Lexus LF-A in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring. The team failed to finish for the first two years due to mechanical breakdowns. The street version of the LF-A did not go on sale until 2010; so the first two years should be seen more as development than competition. In 2010, the car crashed and in 2011 the team had another breakdown. Finally, in 2012 the GRMN completed the 24 hour race winning the SP8 class. From the tenor of the video it appears that the team intends to continue to compete and hopes for an overall win at some point.
