Most of us are never going to see a McLaren MP4-12C, Lexus LFA, Lamborghini Aventador and Bugatti Veyron all at one time. Let alone drive them all. Let alone race them in a quarter mile, but the guys from Automobile Magazine in the US did. The video pits all four car against one another in a drag race to see who is the fastest. The results are not surprising, but my opinion is. Someone needs to create a supercar that combines all of these cars together because they all have something the other needs. The Veyron, let's face it, is just not beautiful. It is the world's fastest bar of soap. The LFA sounds amazing, easily the best of the bunch, but it is slow in the straight line relatively speaking. The McLaren looks great and has all sorts of whiz-bang gimmicks but is still slower than the Lamborghini. The Aventador has its all-wheel drive but kind of looks like something a 12-year-old would draw. I want a supercar that sounds like the screaming banshee of the LFA with the tech of the Mclaren, all-wheel drive of the Lambo and speed of the Bugatti.
I know our writer Tom who has driven most of these cars will tell me I'm missing something, and I can't wait to read what it is.
